What makes Direct Hire different from your other services?

With Direct Hire, Betternship finds and vets the candidate, but you become the legal employer after placement. There is no ongoing management from us unless you request it. It is designed for companies that have their own HR infrastructure and want full ownership of the employment relationship from day one.

How quickly will I receive a shortlist?

For most roles, we deliver a shortlist within three to five business days of receiving a complete role brief. More specialised or senior roles may take slightly longer. We give you a realistic timeline upfront so you can plan accordingly.

How many candidates will you shortlist?

We typically present two to four candidates per role. We do not pad shortlists. Every candidate we present has passed our full vetting process and is a genuine contender for the position.

What happens if the hire doesn't work out?

We offer a replacement guarantee within an agreed period following placement. If a candidate leaves or does not perform as expected, we re-engage the search at no additional sourcing cost.

Can I add EOR or compliance support to a Direct Hire placement?

Yes. If you need help with employment contracts, payroll, or compliance for the candidate you hire, our EOR service can wrap around a Direct Hire placement. Just let us know during the brief and we will structure accordingly.

Do you place candidates for contract roles as well as permanent ones?

Yes. We handle both permanent and contract placements through our Direct Hire service. The vetting process is the same for both. Contract placements can also be converted to permanent arrangements if both parties agree.
